BEVERLY HILLS GLOBAL PARTNERS, INC
A Non-Profit Sister City Organization

First Annual Student Film Showcase

Beverly Hills Global Partners, Inc., the sister city organization for the City of Beverly Hills, and The Maple Counseling Center, a Beverly Hills based social service organization providing affordable health care services in Los Angeles County, have joined together to sponsor a student film showcase for high school students from Beverly Hills and each of its sister cities: Herzliya, Israel; Cannes, France; Pudong, China; and Acapulco, Mexico.  The theme of the showcase is “A Day in the Life of …”, providing an opportunity for 15 to 19 year old students in these cities to show their 4 to 6 minute film expressing what life is like in their community.  Film professionals from each of Beverly Hills and its sister cities will serve on the panel of judges that will choose the top three films. Those selected films will then be screened in June 2011 at the as part of the Annual Car Raffle/Film Screening of The Maple Counseling Center.
It is our hope that through this experience the student filmmakers, as well as the film audience, will learn to appreciate the diversity of our communities, while realizing that our similarities far outnumber our differences.

This showcase is open to high school students from Beverly Hills and each of its sister cities. The theme of the competition is “A Day in the Life of …”, providing an opportunity for 15 to 19 year old students in these cities to show their 4 to 6 minute film expressing what life is like in their community.
